If you are based in Oxfordshire and you think you fit the criteria below – or have another reason you have been unable to access our events please contact us by email:
oxon_binder_scheme@protonmail.com
As this scheme requires more time and energy (and we have limited resources) we kindly ask that if you can come to a swap please do not apply and instead come to our next event.
You are eligible if you:
- Have limited energy due to health problems – including if you are currently experiencing a health flare up
- Have caring responsibilities that mean you cannot be away for too long
- Work long or irregular hours (eg shift work) and cannot get to our venue at the time of the swap
- Cannot afford to travel to where the swap is from elsewhere in Oxfordshire
- Do not have access to reliable transport routes – (eg live in a village with no transport)
- Do not have access to secure or permanent housing
- Are closeted and do not feel safe coming to our events
- Do not feel safe or comfortable in group settings
- Are concerned you are binding unsafely or in the wrong size
This list is not exhaustive so please email if you have been struggling to afford or access chest binding resources.
University of Oxford students should be able to access funding through their colleges or the Student Union Gender Expression Fund – if unsure you can contact the Oxford University LGBTQ+ Society for more support.
Resources Available
We are currently able to provide binders between (and including) XXS and7XL. If your size is not currently available we may suggest you wait until we receive a delivery, or some more donations in your size.
