“Mourn for the dead and fight like hell for the living.” – Mother Jones
On Sunday we held our annual vigil for Trans Day of Remembrance where we welcomed comrades from both within the South East and beyond in a show of solidarity for those who have now passed on.
We started the vigil by lighting our candles and together we read the names of trans people that have died since last November. We shared memories of friends and acquaintances who passed and spoke of the need for solidarity in our communities.
This year we held the vigil in a non-publicised location and made it through without disruptions.
