Vigil for TDOR 2023.
On Monday, we gathered together to remember those who lost their lives over the last year from around the world. We read out the names of the 394 (reported) trans people who had died and paid tributes to friends lost but never forgotten, including two young people from Oxfordshire. Also discussed was the way that the state, the system and its negligence is responsible for the loss of so many, especially the high number of suicides we see within our communities.
The importance of comradeship and time to grieve was highlighted, as well as taking time to remind the ones you love that you care for them.
