He has requested letters, emails or cards of support – his birthday is at the end of April.
Mattie received 5 years during Kill the Bill. Despite being released early last year, he has been recalled since September. He is a vegan who likes cooking, music and continues to stand in solidarity with those facing struggle.
Mattie has been facing difficulty with his response letters getting through the system – if you want a reply from him you are best to email. It costs prisoners money to reply so if you are able to include a blank reply sheet in your email this will make it easier for him to get back to you!
If you would like to send him a one-off message and emails or letter writing are inaccessible to you, please send it to us either via social media messages, email abingdon_queer_action@riseup.net, or alternatively you can message us anonymously via our website contact form, and we will pass it on to him.
Be sure to include a returns address on the envelope – as well as on the top of the letter. If you don’t have an address you can use please contact us and we will provide one. You must also include Mattie’s name, prisoner number and address at the top of the letter too.
Remember everything you send will be read by prison staff.
